Glitter Social
An Intimate Southern Brunch with Del Shores
(creator of Sordid Lives)
Benifiting Austin Rainbow Theatre
Sunday, September 6th
1 PM - 4 PM @ Ground Floor Theatre
Pull up a Chair. Spill the tea.
Join Del Shores, creator of Sordid Lives and one of America’s most celebrated Southern storytellers, along with actor and producer Emerson Collins, for an intimate Southern-inspired brunch benefiting Austin Rainbow Theatre and our mission to Amplify Queer Voices.
In place of our first Sunday matinee performance of The Recipe Box, our Glitter & Gossip Social invites you onto the show’s charming front porch set for an unforgettable afternoon of Southern hospitality, delicious brunch fare, signature cocktails and mocktails, live entertainment from Austin Rainbow Theatre artists, and inside gossip.
Hosted by Del Shores and Emerson Collins, this exclusive front porch kiki is your chance to hear the stories you won’t hear anywhere else. Del will spill the tea with behind-the-scenes tales from Sordid Lives, unforgettable moments from his decades in theatre, television, and film, and the inspiration behind his work, while Emerson keeps the conversation lively with humor, stories, and a few surprises of his own.
Throughout the afternoon, you’ll also have the opportunity to bid on exclusive auction items and participate in other fundraising activities that support Austin Rainbow Theatre’s mission to amplify queer voices through bold, inclusive storytelling.
Whether you’re a longtime Del Shores fan, a lover of Southern comedy, or simply looking for an unforgettable brunch with incredible entertainment and even better company, Glitter & Gossip Social is your invitation to pull up a chair, sip something sweet, and join the conversation.

Why Your Support Matters
Austin Rainbow Theatre exists to amplify queer voices — boldly, unapologetically, and beautifully. We are Austin’s only dedicated LGBTQIA+ theatre company, creating space for queer stories to be told, heard, and celebrated on stage.
But across the country, arts funding is shrinking. Grants that once helped sustain grassroots, inclusive organizations like ours are being slashed or eliminated altogether. And for queer-focused arts groups, the impact is even deeper — we’re often the first to face cuts and the last to be funded.
In a time when LGBTQIA+ voices are being challenged and censored, supporting queer theatre isn’t just generous — it’s necessary. Because theatre has always been a place for truth, resistance, and joy. And with your help, it will continue to be.
Thank you for standing with us, celebrating with us, and making queer art possible.
